To the editor,After five years, it's come to this: Sunny Brockport is finally over. It seems like a lifetime ago when I showed Casey Campbell, the Editor-in-Chief of The Stylus at the time, a comic strip I had made about a parallel SUNY Brockport campus in which all students were animals. Back then, I was not very good at drawing humans. Suddenly, the chronicles of M.N. the cat were put in the paper on a weekly basis, and seeing them in print every Wednesday became one of my favorite parts of being a student at Brockport.
In the twilight of Sunny Brockport, I'd like to thank everyone who made it possible. First of all, thanks to The Stylus staff, especially the Lifestyles Editors with whom I've been in correspondence every weekend. Thanks to all the students who read the comic, and sometimes even tell me that it is the reason they pick up The Stylus each week. Lastly, I have to give credit to The College at Brockport, which has been a consistent source of things for me to ridicule these last five years.
This may be the end of Sunny Brockport, but M.N.'s journey is far from over, and hopefully mine is beginning.
