Initial plans for an April 25 spring concert have been altered, with the concert date being moved "in conjunction with Brock the Port."Brock the Port, the annual end-of-the year bash traditionally held on the last day of classes, will be Friday, May 7 in lot V, adjacent to Tuttle North.

The spring concert, however, will be held in conjunction with Brock the Port, but not at the same time. A SUNYAC tournament at Bob Boozer Field, behind lot V, would restrict sound levels at a potential outdoors concert.

Pending contracts between the artist and Brockport Student Government do not allow either parties to release the potential date of the pending concert. Contracts were submitted for the artists and management approval last week.

The spring concert, with a to be determined date, will be held in the Tuttle North Ice Arena.

BSG Programming Director and president-elect Eric May says student feedback has played a great role in choosing which artist to book for the upcoming concert.

"Student feedback has played an exciting part in choosing," May said. "Students actually took initiative to say what they wanted to see. The overwhelming support has been noted."

May is refering to the more than 1,200 Brockport students and supporters seeking hip-hop artist Kid Cudi for the spring concert act. "Kid Cudi for Brockport" has students requesting the "Day n' Nite" artist, after results of the spring concert survey showed Goo Goo Dolls topped student input.
